Absolute fidelity to real life is not my idea of fun. A lot of real life is just chores. Good entertainment needs dramatic resonance, well-constructed scenes with emotional impact, scenes that draw the player in, engage the mind and the heart. Think Black Dahlia, Gabriel Knight 3, Pandora Directive. All investigation-based games with riveting gameplay and engaging characters. |
