Probably not. The two are usually considered mutually exclusive. Most gamers balk at too much dialogue. They want their gameplay meat-and-potatoes simple, and I see their point, I really do. Still, with boys talent like Terry Pratchett and Eric Idle listed in the opening credits, perhaps it's time to set preconceptions aside and let the masters of yakkity-yak have their say. Adapting story lines, locations and characters from several of Pratchett's Discworld novels, now-defunct Perfect Entertainment, helmed at the time by the very funny writer and director Greg Barnett, managed to develop one of the best games no one ever talks about. |
