This clinical picture was seen after caesarean section and delivery of a healthy infant. Post partum hepatic dystrophy associated with coma hepatica, acute renal failure and disseminated, intravascular coagulation was donations successfully treated with three large-volume plasmaphereses using FFP exchange plasma in combination with haemodialysis. The patient survived and her liver function was restored to normal.Publication
